When David Meyers wrote The Last Christmas Carol, he had no expectations that it would be published. However, after it was picked up by Dramatic Publishing, the first group to stage it was the Licking County Players in Newark, Ohio. The director of that production, Melvin C. Spring, asked to be given the opportunity to direct anything else David might write. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow Condominium Association, Inc., was the result. David intentionally designed it to be a smaller show.
